This place gives excellent service and delightful food. My favourite place in the city. The food and drinks arrived fast and the rates were fair. Recommended.

The food was absolutely delicious. All of the menu I tried was so good and tasty. Great food, atmosphere, and prompt, polite service. Food is very fresh, including the seafood. I asked for a low fat version of what I ordered, and they did a great job doing so. Fried calamari, scallops, etc., are cooked perfectly. Customer service was one of a kind.

I love this little place with a mouth watering seafood dish and other. Staff were so much friendly and accommodating. I stayed a little bit and after a minute she offer me a table for me. Thank you. The food was really really good. I love the twist on it. Remarkable. Great place.

This place is a staple of Cliffside Park. The place is great with the staff, food and service. I've been coming here ever since I was a little boy with my family. I highly reccomend the calamari it's by far the best

Great food good prices

When you eat in this place you feel like you've landed in a bar from years gone by everything is very drawn out and gets you relaxing then the food comes out..it's Italian ,it's loud ,it's piping hot, filling your every senses..this is a bar Rudy is the point man ...Rudy's is the place to go for some good seafood .

Good old Italian restaurant. One waitress for the entire seating area, but she hustles. You have to walk through a bar entrance to get to the restaurant. Good for a neighborhood place.

Neighborhood bar and restaurant with a very friendly staff. Regulars abound and come in and out almost on shifts. Food is well above average with Jersey facorites. Wether you've been there once or have a favorite spot at the bar you'll feel right at home. Restaurant area can accommodate smaller families. Bar area is tight so best for 2-3 party max.

We've been coming to Rudy's for the last 30 years. This is a great local bar and wonderful Italian restaurant. The patrons and staff are always friendly, and I've never had a bad meal here. Be careful the spicy hot marinara sauce is really spicy and hot: we love it!

Good place for a drink and some food. Not quite a dive bar but very much a local hangout. Specials were really delicious and priced well.

Long established neighborhood Italian seafood cafe and bar. Totally separate from the bar, the dining room is small, and kind of old fashioned cozy. A good romaine house salad and a nice warm crusty bread loaf, was followed by their Scarpariello dish (chicken,‎ sausage, peppers, onions & mushrooms with linguine) for me and the Chicken Parmigiano for my partner. Both main courses were generous and flavorful. The service was friendly and quick. The drop in my star rating was due to not having Sangria available nor butter for the bread. Else I would have given 4 stars. Metered street parking.

Truly a hidden gem! 3rd generation Italian Family owned and operated! Nonna is literally in the kitchen stirring the sauce with the wooden spoon! 😂 The Italian seafood is second to none and every dish I've ever had was excellent! Best "Galamad" ever! BTW I'm 100% Italian soooo......

I love this place. Old fashioned delicious Italian food and great cocktails. A nice place to hang out and watch sports. The staff is amazing, they make sure you feel right at home!

Small dining room, however food is delicious

Rudy’s has always been a favourite since moving to the area two years ago. Staff are always welcoming and friendly. Food is always great and good portions. There are daily specials on offer. The ravioli is a favourite. Strongly suggest checking it out. Even right now when it’s just dine out, the food is wonderful.

Affordable dinner and drinks

Let me start by just saying, this place is fantastic. We were in the area and saw that this place had good reviews so we deiceded to try it and I’m so glad we did! It’s a small, cozy place that’s run by family, and that is clear in the atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious and all three of us were beyond satisfied with our meals. Service was great, our waiter was very attentive and had a great spirit and attitude. The owner (who is also the chef) had a great attitude as well. If you’re looking for an extremely welcoming environment that has great food with friendly service, look no further.

This was a great place to eat. Food was excellent and the waitress was very friendly. Very lovely family oriented establishment.

My husband and I had our first visit here today and it will not be our last. This a very cozy, homey establishment. Franklin was our server and he was very friendly and accommodating. We ordered the fried calamari for an appetizer. The calamari was fried perfectly and the sauce that was served with it was delicious. I ordered the grilled scallops served over broccoli rabe and these were the best scallops I've ever had. They were cooked perfectly; not dry or rubbery. My husband ordered the Alla Rudy's, which had clams, mussels, calamari and tomatoes over linguine. He raved about how delicious it was. We are looking forward to going back!

Husband and I found this little gem 2 months ago, and have been back several times since. Our fave little spot, everything is so delicious! Don't sleep on this restaurant! Definitely recommend!!!

Cane back (again) this time for take away during COVID-19. Great Great Food. Excellent... Bread- Excellent, Olive Oil- Excellent, Salad- Excellent. Shrimp- Excellent, Squid-Excellent, Octopus- Excellent, Mussels- Excellent, Shrimp- World Class, Clams- World Class. This is what going out to dinner is all about. Great food.

Delicious old school Italian food. Don't go for the ambiance, or if you are looking for something gourmet, but if you want terrific, Italian food like your grandmother would make you have to go to Rudy's!

The service is always excellent. The menu has a wide variety of Italian dishes and the specials are the best. Have never had a bad meal there.

Crazy about the calamari! The hot sauce is a base of tomato paste with a wonderful kick of tasty hot red pepper. The sauteed spinach and sauteed broccoli is just delicious. Combine this with the wonderfully witty Tommy at the bar, your hunger and entertainment needs are more than satisfied!

Had a good experience in here with my wife. The food comes out rapidly and the customer service is just excellent. Prices are convenient.

Went here because our other choice was closed on monday. Not very formal or even close to it, looks mostly like a bar with a small dining area in back. Not sure about the prices as I didnt see the bill but the food quality was great and service was also great.

I’ve been going to Rudy’s for about 40 years. I moved away from Edgewater years ago and when ever i got back Rudy’s is a must stop for me and my family. The best mussels and bread around. Thanks guys.

I have been eating at Rudy's ever since they opened. I now live in FL and come up to the NYC area twice a year. I must stop in Rudy's for lunch or dinner each time I come up. It is simply the best calamari there is.
